A Strange Place Other Than Earlobes is an anthology by five contemporary poets - Sree Latha, Binu Karunakaran, Ravi Shanker, Bini B.S and Jeena Mary Chacko - all of who incidentally have roots in Kerala. As the titles suggest it is a feast of visceral poems, felt from the gut and spilled from finger tips. In the process, the poets have produced a body of work which is as much visceral in tone as semantic in content.
It is a heady concoction of tears, blood, sweat and all other bodily juices packed in a container of flesh and skin, each poet appearing distinctly different in their complexion and make-up. This anthology aspires to leave the reader feeling awakened, passionate and free of shame.
The anthology is being published by Brown Critique, Kolkata and will be released in 2014.
